Red Golem
This particular blend is comprised of five different wines, and three grape varieties: Feteasca Neagra, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, two of which are enclosed for a period of 6 months in French and Romanian oak wood barrels.
Description
Its flavour profile is comprised of cocoa, chocolaty and berries aromas with high notes of dry plums, generally inherent to Black Maiden wine, whereupon mineral and vegetal notes are emphasized, in which the Cabernet and Merlot bring forth a spicy flavour reminiscent of herbs, tobacco, black pepper, cinnamon and cloves.
This blend can be described as big, whose taste bursts into various flavours, which fill out the aromatic palette outlined above. Cranberries and blackberries pleasantly blend with the sweet, vanilla-flavoured coffee, establishing together the complete profile of the wine.
Tips
Terroir
Aeration of the blend is recommended in a decanter for approximately one hour before tasting. The aroma within the glass will pleasantly surprise you through a continuous progression for 3 to 4 hours.
2008 was an amazing year for the red wine production.
